Brazil has a special dessert that has entered the homes and hearts of many people around the world: Pudim! For those more familiar with the old puddings', just like the pronunciation is fuller and smoother (less puh-dh-eeng and more pul-jh-eem), this is a smoother, creamier version of a flan.

It's a gorgeous circle of a sweet, cool condensed milk cloud, surrounded by a beautiful caramel syrup that is baked with the flan. Truly, godly. Now, this recipe takes a little bit of work, or rather, some waiting time, but the steps themselves are pretty simple and I am here to tell you: So. Worth. It.

Theres no better Sunday dessert.

Serves: 10 Cooking Time: 2 hours Waiting Time: 12 hours
Ingredients
1 cup sugar
1 1/2 cup water
1 can condensed milk (14 ounces)
Same measurement of regular milk
3 eggs
Directions:
Melt the sugar and the water until it turns golden and caramelizes, directly in a baking dish.
Beat the other ingredients in a blender. Pour the mixture on top of the caramel.
Heat the oven to 200ºC. Put the baking dish inside a bigger dish halfway filled with water.
Ban marie the flan in the oven for one hour and a half.
Turn the oven off and !attention! leave the flan inside to cool overnight. After its cooled completely, put it in the fridge for 1-2 hours.
Turn it into a pretty plate and finally dig in!
